GTU-SA Series — Standard Density Silicone Foam Rubber

Closed-cell silicone foam in six density grades from 200 to 450 kg/m³. Each grade balances compressive stiffness against sealing effectiveness — from soft low-force gaskets to ultra-rigid enclosure seals with sponge-rubber-level performance.

Strengths

  • Density range 200–450 kg/m³ covering soft-seal to rigid-gasket needs
  • Compression set <5% @158 °F — seal force maintained over long service life
  • Breakdown voltage ≥9 kV (at 450 kg/m³) — safe for high-voltage enclosures
  • Thermal conductivity ≤0.2 W/(m·K) — strong thermal insulation
  • UL94 V-0 rated; stable from -60 °C to +200 °C

Customization

  • Six density grades — select by required closure force
  • Thickness 1.0–10.0 mm; stock or custom rolled
  • PSA adhesive backing: single- or double-sided
  • Die-cut gaskets, strips, or shaped parts to customer drawing

Technical Information

Review some Applications recommendations and how to use product series.

Installation Notes
  • Battery pack inter-cell cushioning and insulation
  • Enclosure housing sealing strips (upper/lower)
  • Outdoor communication and power cabinet gaskets
  • EV charging station fire-sealing
  • Electronic enclosure EMC gaskets
  • Automotive door and body panel seals
Installation Notes
  • Target 20–40% compression deflection for a reliable seal
  • Clean and dry the mating surface before applying PSA-backed material
  • Roll stock: store upright on the core to prevent flat spots
  • Shelf life 12 months — store sealed away from heat and moisture

Frequently asked questions

What is the biggest difference between GTU-SA and lower-density foam grades?

GTU-SA is positioned as an ultra-rigid silicone foam for durable, very high-closure-force gasket applications rather than softer, lower-force sealing interfaces.

Yes. The product description explicitly states it is designed for enclosures requiring durable, high-closure-force gaskets.

Yes. The datasheet explicitly highlights waterproof sealing strips for outdoor communication and power cabinets exposed to long-term sunlight, rain, and temperature fluctuations.
Yes. The datasheet lists customized sheet products and customized die-cut products.
The listed flame retardancy is UL94 V0, and the listed shelf life is 12 months.
